A visit to Barcelona makes for a wonderful day out. Barcelona is the passionate capital of Catalonia, an unforgettable city of art, culture and beauty.

There are numerous tourist attractions in Barcelona, some of them are more widely known than others. One of the most famous attractions is the Sagrada Familia, a giant temple designed by Antonio Gaudi. It is still not finished but is expected to be depending on funding with in 40-80 years.

Football fans that follow either European football or the Champions League are likely to have seen Barcelona FC playing on TV. A visit to the Nou Camp Stadium in Barcelona, is a memorable experience whether you are a football fan or not. You can take a tour around the museum and see the trophies that they have won over the years.

The Museu Picasso as it’s known is the most visited art gallery in Barcelona. All his paintings are arranged in chronological order and gives a fascinating insight into the designs of Picasso.

Another great attraction is the Magic Fountain of Montjuic, this is a light, music and water extravaganza which should not be missed. This fountain is a fantastic experience for all ages. Prior to the evening show beginning, large crowds gather in expectation for the imminent performance which lasts about an hour.

Take a walk along the Ramblas to enjoy a memorable mix of street musicians, living statues, and hustlers. The large and extremely varied market produce is definitely not to be missed. Here you will see everything from candy through to fruit and veg, meat and game, cheese and live fish. Alternatively hop onto the Tramvia Blau for a tram trip up to the top of Mount Tibidabo. From here you will be able to see any large ships in the port, Gaudi’s Cathedral and so many other magnificent sights across the city below you. If you like you can take a bus tour of Barcelona which will cover most of the sights in the City. Barcelona is roughly a 2 and half hour journey from Lo Mas Paré.
